3 injured in attack on ALP commander’s home

SHARANA (Pajhwok): A woman was among at least three people wounded after Talibaninfo-icon insurgents stormed the house of an Afghan Local Police (ALP) commander in Matta Khan district of southeastern Paktika province.

Paktika governor’s spokesman, Mohammad Rahman Ayaz, told Pajhwok Afghan News the insurgents attacked ALP commander Gul Khan’s home in Foladkhel area late on Tuesday night.

Two of the commander’s children were wounded in the attack while the commander escaped unhurt.

However, a resident of Folalkhel area said a woman was among three people injured in the incident.

A source at the civil hospital in Sharana, the provincial capital, confirmed receiving four injured people from the area and said their condition was stable.

There has been so far no word from insurgents in this regard.
