Rahimi appointed Nangarhar police chief as MoI makes major transfers

KABULinfo-icon (Pajhwok): On the direction of President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani, the Ministry of Interior (MoI) has transferred eight officers, a statement from the ministry said on Saturday.

Brig. Gen. Abdul Rahman Rahimi former commander of the 101 Asmai Zone has been appointed as Police Chief of Nangarhar province. Maj. Gen. Hassan Shah Farogh, former commander of the 606 Ansari Zone appointed as commander of the 101 Asmai Zone. Former Police Chief of Nangarhar, Brig. Gen. Syed Guli Aqa Rohani has been appointed as Boarder Police Chief at the Hamid Karzai International Airport in Kabul, according to the statement.

Brig. Gen. Mohammad Salem Almas, Brig. Gen. Muhauddin Sarwari, Brig. Gen. Toryalai Abdyani and Col. Mohammad Wahid Hameedi were the other top officer transferred to different positions.
